Jay Luerman Joins Bank of the Plains

BANK OF THE PLAINS ANNOUNCES JAY LUERMAN AS VICE PRESIDENT,REGIONAL MANAGER, AND COMMERCIAL AND AG LOAN OFFICER.

Great Bend, KS September 23^rd  – Bank of the Plains is pleased to announce Jay Luerman has accepted the role of Vice President, Regional Manager and Commercial and Ag Loan Officer.

Tina Call, President of Bank of the Plains shared “The Board of Directors and the entire team at Bank of the Plains are very excited to welcome Jay to the bank.  Jay has a strong background in serving customers’ banking needs across the state and in our communities. A 2016 graduate of Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business and a minor in Finance, Jay furthered his banking education by completing the Graduate School of Banking in Boulder, Colorado, in July 2025. Alongside his wife, Joanna, he proudly raises their three children in Great Bend. With nearly ten years of banking experience in Great Bend, Jay has repeatedly demonstrated his commitment as a community leader. Jay serves on numerous boards, including the Barton Community College Foundation, Barton County Young Professionals, USD 428 Site Council, Barton County Kids Ag Day, Golden Belt Bankers Association, Kiwanis Club of Great Bend, Barton Community College Ag Advisory Board, and the Grace Community Church Finance Team.
