Teller/Personal Banker – Salina, KS

Bank Of The Plains is looking for a full-time Teller/Personal Banker at our Salina location.  Our success as a bank is sustained by superior customer service and professionalism; therefore, we rely on our representatives to set the bar high with a friendly, professional, and accurate banking experience. Our Personal Banker role does everything from helping a customer make a simple transaction to opening new accounts and everything in between. Full-time hours will be 40hours per week, Monday – Friday with a Saturday morning rotation.

Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  1.        Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers by accurately and courteously addressing customer questions and processing customer requests.

  2.        Performs as a team member in allocating and coordinating branch workflow; assist co-workers with questions as needed.

  3.        Answers incoming telephone calls; determines the purpose of calls; answers customer inquiries or appropriately forwards calls. Refers complicated questions, matters, and upset customers to appropriate person.

  4.        Assists with processing night drop items each morning.

  5.        Maybe responsible for bank opening/closing.

  6.        Promotes the bank’s products and services; consistently cross-sells banks products at every opportunity.

  7.        Accept all deposits, verifies cash, and endorsements. Follows proper procedures for cashing checks including receiving proper authorization to cash checks from loan officer if necessary.

  8.        Provides additional customer service including; Cashier’s Checks, Money Orders, Stop Payments, customer research, and assist customers with any questions or concerns.  

  9.        Interviews customers to obtain information and explains available financial services such as savings and checking accounts, Certificates of Deposit, ATM and Visa debit cards.

10.        Processes opening of new accounts and provides proper documentation and disclosures, including checking, savings, Certificates of Deposit, etc.

11.        Maintains accounts, including making address changes; closes accounts as requested by customers.

12.        Responsible to scan in daily work and check daily work.

13.        Assists customers with Business Online Banking, Mobile Banking and Online Banking.

14.        Resets passwords for Internet banking customers if applicable.

15.        Assists with ordering debit cards and ATM cards.

16.        Researches customer account issues.

17.        Assists with balances cash daily for the ATM, teller drawer and vault.  

18.        Assists with adding money to the ATM.

19.        Assists supervisor with weekly audits of the ATM and Vault.

20.        Assist with various branch tasks; branch errands, going to post office, branch organization, and other daily items around the branch, etc.

21.        Generates monthly reports as requested; responsible for sending letters to customers regarding accounts.

22.        Assist with training of new employees as requested.

23.        Serves as back up for other employees as needed.

24.        Attends bank related training as required by management.
